Dear fellows and members.

I would like to thank Dr. YC Wong for inviting me to join HKOA council. Eventhough I have served HKOA before, organizing HKOA Annual Congress for severaltimes, serving HKOA as a council member is a totally different experience.

The HKOA family is full of talented surgeons, besides their expertise in surgery,there are lots of talented athletes, musicians, wine experts etc. Our fellows andmembers won numerous trophies for HKOA, dragon boat race, HKMA athlete meet,HKMA golf tournament etc. In the last few years. Endurance sports is getting morepopular in Hong Kong. We have a growing number of colleagues who participate inmarathon, trail walker, trail running and even ultramarathon! I hope we can organizea HKOA marathon team that can represent HKOA to participate in various events.

Besides sports event, we would like to organize wine and cuisine dinner. Wealways welcome any suggestion of our activities, please do not hesitate to give anysuggestion or feedback. I hope to see you all in the coming HKOA events.Dr. Cheung Kin Wing
